Pricing and settlement basis

Which number decides your order, where it comes from, and how you check it yourself.

Our source

We quote spot gold from a Swiss bank's public feed. The source is named on every page that shows a price and in the audit record. We do not use our own prices and we do not smooth them.

Entry and settlement prices

Entry takes the ask on an up order and the bid on a down order. Settlement uses the mid, timestamped to the second the term expires. Both numbers are stored with the order.

Payout rates

The payout rate for each term is published before you place the order and does not change afterwards. It is never adjusted on a per-order basis.

The audit record

We keep a rolling record of every quote we received, so a settlement can be reconstructed from raw data rather than from a summary. Recent records can be browsed from the audit page.
